What are the Beliefs of a Jehovah Witness
Jehovah Witnesses stand out from many of the other denominations in many of their beliefs. The first difference that may be the root of all the rest of the differences is they only use the Jehovah Witnesses Bible for Bible study.
Conveniently their verses of many of the fundamental doctrines of other beliefs have been changed in the New World Translation of the Bible. The Jehovah Witnesses are the only group that uses this translation of the Bible.
Nature of Jesus is A Core Doctrine in the Beliefs of a Jehovah Witness.
Jesus is in fact Michael the Mighty Archangel in the beliefs of a Jehovah Witness. The Book of Hebrews talk about the son of man not taking on him the nature of angels, but the seed of Abraham that he could be made like unto his brethren and become a partaker of flesh and blood. (Hebrews 2:16)
They also believe Jesus to be not God himself, but rather that people claimed that Jesus was God and thats why he was killed for blasphemy. Isaiah 9:6 states that the son that is given is called the Wonderful Councilor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. This is pretty clear that even the Bible declares Jesus is God.
In the Jehovah Witnesses Bible this verse is still as clear as day, and will cause any Jehovah Witness to back peddle when asked to interpret.
Refusal of Blood Transfusions Is Another Notable one of the Beliefs of a Jehovah Witness
The Beliefs of a Jehovah Witness are noticeable by many when it comes to their insistence about staying away from blood in foods. They heavily advocate abstinence from food containing blood such as blood sausages and blood pudding.
Even the Jews as part of the Old testament are suppose to do this, but where it gets weird is they interpret blood transfusions as ingesting blood. The mortality rate of Women Jehovah witnesses during birth is almost 100 times higher then others because of this.
Denial of Hell Also a Very Notable one of the Beliefs of a Jehovah Witness
The Jehovah Witnesses adamantly deny the existence of any hell. They dont believe in an eternal punishment, but rather a sort of emotional torment of Hades while you are alive and apart from God. Not only do Jehovah Witnesses not believe they are going to hell, but most believe they are not going to heaven as well.
They claim only 144,000 people will get to go to heaven, and it probably will not be them. If you think Im joking, ask one next time and they will tell you they probably are not going to heaven and many say they dont really want to.
